Ahmadis Targeted in Sectarian Violence, Mandibahaudin

Yesterday at noon, two Ahmadis, Ghulam Sarwar aged 62 and Rahat Ahmad Bajwa aged 30, were killed in Saadullahpur, District Mandibahaudin, at different locations within a 20-minute time frame.

Ghulam Sarwar was returning home after midday prayers when the attacker shot him, causing immediate death. Rahat Ahmad Bajwa was also on his way home when he was fatally shot.

Ghulam Sarwar leaves behind a widow and six children, while Rahat Ahmad Bajwa is survived by a widow and two young daughters.

The alleged killer, a student aged 16-17, attending a Madrassah named Ahle Sunnat, has confessed to the killings, citing religious differences. The Madrassah is led by Sajid Latif, known for his anti-Ahmadiyya stance.

The issue lies in the teachings of these Madrassahs, where students are encouraged to discriminate against Ahmadis, and in extreme cases, even resort to violence. Ahmadis are left with no choice but to live in fear and pray for their safety, as even young individuals can pose a threat to their lives.
