Establishment Willing to Limit Role for National Progress: Sanaullah

Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah has revealed that the current establishment in Pakistan is prepared to limit its role if it ensures economic and political progress in the country. During an appearance on a program on Aaj News, Sanaullah stated with utmost confidence that the establishment has no personal agenda and is solely focused on national stability.

“I say this with utmost belief and complete information that the current establishment has no personal agenda. These people have no personal agenda,” Sanaullah said in response to questions about the establishment’s involvement in politics. This statement marks a departure from the past, where some establishment leaders had long-term personal agendas spanning 10-11 years or even their entire lifetimes.

Sanaullah acknowledged the historical issues related to the establishment’s role in politics, but he emphasized that the current leadership’s sole focus is on national stability. “Some people in the establishment had 10-11 year agendas. Some even had agendas for their whole life,” he remarked, alluding to the past practices of certain individuals within the establishment.

This revelation comes at a critical juncture when Pakistan is facing numerous challenges, including economic instability, political tensions, and the need for a clear roadmap for progress. The establishment’s willingness to limit its role in exchange for ensuring economic and political progress could potentially pave the way for a more stable and prosperous future for the country.

The adviser’s comments suggest a shift in the establishment’s approach, moving away from long-term personal agendas to a more focused and objective stance aimed at promoting national interests. This shift could potentially lead to a more collaborative and transparent relationship between the government and the establishment, ultimately benefiting the people of Pakistan.

It remains to be seen how this development will unfold and what concrete steps will be taken to translate this willingness into tangible results. However, Sanaullah’s remarks have undoubtedly sparked a renewed sense of hope and optimism among the people, who yearn for a stable and prosperous Pakistan.
