Early Life & Academic Path

Born in Marrakesh, Aboudia grew up in an intellectually rich environment that nurtured both creativity and analytical thinking. He pursued higher education in Philosophy and the History of Sciences, which sharpened his ability to approach social change through critical frameworks. Alongside his academic pursuits, he self-trained in computer science and digital strategy, equipping himself with the technical skills to translate ideas into practical, scalable solutions. This combination of humanities and technology continues to shape his multidisciplinary approach to business and civic projects.

Aboudia’s career spans entrepreneurship, innovation, and public-private collaboration. He is the founder of Webpick, an IT sourcing and digital publishing company that launched over 80 online magazines across Europe and Asia, amassing more than 4 billion page views. His success with Webpick positioned him as a pioneer in digital performance and content strategies.

He later co-founded Emerging Business Factory (EBF) in Marrakesh, a creative and technological hub designed to incubate startups and cultural entrepreneurs. EBF soon became a flagship model of ecosystem building in Morocco, aligning global best practices with local strengths.

Social Impact & Community Engagement

Beyond business, Aboudia devotes much of his work to community initiatives. Current initiatives include ISCOS (youth orientation), CESAR (structuring local trades), and Tidmi (digitalisation of rural lodges and cooperatives).

Through Turath, he champions the integration of digital tools into heritage preservation, developing interactive maps, archives, and immersive content to reconnect younger generations with Moroccan cultural identity.

Personal Outlook

A passionate writer and thinker, Aboudia shares weekly essays on his blog (aboudia.me/notes), exploring the intersections of business, philosophy, and social responsibility. Drawing inspiration from thinkers like Ibn Arabi, Kant, and Barthes, he calls for a more conscious and balanced model of progress — one that values meaning and responsibility as much as efficiency.

As an entrepreneur, father, and civic leader, Taoufik Aboudia views business not merely as an economic activity but as a cultural and philosophical mission to shape Morocco’s future with depth and purpose.
