According to Kashif Gaya, CEO of Euronet Pakistan, “Our collaboration with Visa enables us to deliver faster, more reliable clearing services and a broader digital acceptance network for merchants. We are committed to building a scalable payments platform that supports Pakistan’s long-term growth and digital inclusivity.” Through this integration, merchants will benefit from streamlined payment flows, lower costs, and faster settlement, while consumers will gain access to more reliable, secure, and convenient ways to pay. The partnership leverages Euronet’s PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure and Visa’s global payment network, combining local scale with international standards.
On Visa’s side, a senior executive said, “This partnership with Euronet empowers us to bring our global payment innovations into Pakistan’s growing payments ecosystem. By enabling real-time clearing and enhancing merchant acceptance, we are supporting the country’s broader journey toward digitisation and economic modernisation.” The collaboration is also expected to support Pakistan’s SME sector by making it easier for small and medium businesses to join the digital payments economy — reducing cash dependency and improving cash flow management. Together, Visa and Euronet are setting a strong foundation for future payment innovations, ranging from mobile wallets and QR payments to next-gen acquiring options.
