A very hot heatwave hit Saudi Arabia recently, especially in Mecca during the Hajj pilgrimage. Temperatures went over fifty degrees Celsius, causing more than 1,000 people to die. The Hajj is a huge event where millions of people gather in Mecca each year. The extreme heat made things very difficult and sadly led to many deaths despite efforts to help people cope with the hot weather.
