Pakistani Football team can’t travel to Tajikistan

Pakistan’s football coach, Stephen Constantine, thinks knowing Tajikistan’s coach might give him an advantage in their upcoming World Cup qualifier match on June 11th. This is a big game for Pakistan, as it’s their first time ever in the second round of qualifiers! They even made history by winning their first-round match in October.

There’s just one problem: most of the Pakistani team isn’t even there yet! They’re facing travel issues and haven’t been able to fly to Tajikistan as of Sunday night. Hopefully, they can all make it in time for the match on the 11th!

There’s a major obstacle though: most of the Pakistani team isn’t there yet! Their original flight got cancelled after a bird hit the plane. There were even two delays before it was finally called off. Because of this, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) tried to book a chartered flight with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to get the team there, but they haven’t gotten a confirmation yet. As of Sunday night, only eight out of the 35 players have managed to reach Tajikistan. Hopefully, the rest of the team can find a way to get there in time for the match on the 11th!
