Beaconhouse National University Hosts BNU MUN VI with Exciting Opportunities and Social Events

Lahore, Pakistan — Beaconhouse National University (BNU) is proud to announce the return of its sixth edition of the BNU Model United Nations (BNU MUN VI). The three-day event promises an engaging experience for students across Pakistan, combining rigorous academic debate with vibrant social nights. Registration is now open for delegates and campus ambassadors who wish to participate in the event.

How to Register for BNU MUN VI

To participate, delegates must complete an early registration Google form and provide essential details, including their full name as it appears on their CNIC, which is mandatory for campus access. Delegates can choose multiple committee preferences for an enhanced experience. Early bird fees are set at Rs. 3,500 per individual delegate and Rs. 3,000 per person for delegations, with prices set to increase after the early bird period. Payments can be made through Jazz Cash, EasyPaisa, or a bank transfer to the JS Bank Zindagi account, with payment confirmation required to finalize registration.

Delegates registering as a group will need a head delegate to complete the form on their behalf, listing all members’ names, CNICs, committee preferences, and a consolidated payment slip. The delegation fee totals Rs. 17,000 for groups of four members. Upon submission, delegates will receive a verification email from the BNU MUN VI registration team.

Aspiring campus ambassadors are encouraged to fill out a separate form to join the team and promote the event within their networks.

Committees and Agendas

BNU MUN VI will offer five unique committees addressing major global and national issues:

  • United Nations Security Council (UNSC): Tackles international peace and security, managing threats through sanctions, peacekeeping, and interventions.
  • United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR): Supports refugees and stateless populations, focusing on their rights and humanitarian aid.
  • World Health Organization (WHO): Addresses global health crises, implementing policies to improve wellness worldwide.
  • Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL): Discusses self-determination, sovereignty, and political decolonization, with a focus on regions like Palestine and Western Sahara.
  • Pakistan National Assembly (PNA): Engages in debates on Pakistan’s national issues, including economic development, social justice, and regional relations.

Each committee provides delegates with the chance to collaborate on solutions to real-world challenges, offering a platform for both international and national diplomacy.

Exciting Social Nights

Beyond academic engagement, BNU MUN VI offers memorable social nights where delegates can unwind and network in an informal setting. These social nights also provide sponsors with a unique platform to showcase their brands.

  1. Sufi Night: The first night sets a serene tone with renowned qawwals and Sufi artists, offering an escape through soulful music and a mystical ambiance.
  2. Concert Night: The second evening brings high energy with a live concert, blending music and excitement, allowing sponsors to connect with the audience in a dynamic atmosphere.
  3. Formal Dinner: The final night celebrates the accomplishments of delegates and organizers with a formal dinner, marking the conclusion of an enriching experience.
