Imran Riaz was arrested at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday night for allegedly committing money fraud. The arrest video, showing him wearing Ahram and going for hajj, became popular on social media. The PTI party demanded his release. During a court hearing the next day, the police asked to keep him in custody for seven days. They claimed he borrowed 0.25 Billion but didn’t pay it back. After listening to both sides, the judge decided to give Riaz to the police for one day. On Thursday, the judge cleared him of the fraud charges.
